Want to Do More?
If you want to go beyond the support provided to the primary funds, you can provide support to specific areas of need through special gifts to one of our special ministries funds:
Gifts support pastors in responding at their discretion to individual financial needs in the community, the world, and in the church.
Gifts support choir, band, drama, special worship supplies, special programs or instruments, beyond the general budget.
Gifts support the care and improvement of cemetery grounds, including the columbarium.
Gifts support new or extraordinary mission opportunities beyond the annual support for mission work.
Gifts support outdoor projects, landscaping and building improvements beyond those planned for in the general budget.
Gifts to this endowment fund supplement earnings used to provide a college tuition scholarship reward each year. Graduating senior high school students who are members of, or regularly attend Williamson's Chapel UMC have the opportunity to submit an application to be considered for this scholarship.
Where to Give
When you give to the missions and ministries of the church, you can designate where you'd like your giving to be allocated. Below is some information that could be helpful as you determine your gift to the ministries and missions of Williamson's Chapel UMC:
- General Fund - Support for the general fund should be your first gift to the church, as this fund enables Williamson's Chapel to exist. This pays for all staff, basic bills, and programming dollars, and all giving to the larger United Methodist Church.
- Missions Fund - Your gifts for the missions grand fund, as well as some other special ministry funds, support ministries beyond our walls, including local community organizations, national disaster assistance, and international mission work.
- Building Fund - Your gifts to the building fund support the pay-down of the existing debt, and funding of future capital development.
