Williamson’s Chapel UMC is seeking a relational, creative, and faith-centered Full-time Director of Youth Ministry to lead discipleship for students in grades 6–12 and their families through weekly programming, meaningful relationships, volunteer leadership, missions, and community engagement.
This position reflects the continued growth of our church and youth ministry. As our current Youth Director transitions into a full-time Director of Missions role, we are seeking a dedicated leader to build on the strong foundation already in place and help shape the next season of ministry.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ and a passion for helping youth experience God’s life-changing grace and love.

  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience in youth ministry.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with youth, families, volunteers, and church staff.

  • Commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment where every young person is valued, known, and encouraged to grow in faith.

  • Ability to communicate Christian faith, Scripture, and theology in practical, age-appropriate, and engaging ways.

  • Availability for a full-time schedule that includes Sundays, regular evenings, special events, retreats, and occasional overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education, religious studies, ministry, or a related field.

  • Experience in a United Methodist setting and knowledge of UMC doctrine and theology.

  • Experience recruiting, training, and developing adult ministry leaders.

  • Experience managing ministry programs, communications, budgets, and events.

  • Current understanding of youth culture, adolescent development, and practices that support youth with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Compensation

$50,000–$60,000 annually, depending on education and experience.

Finance Assistant (Part-Time)

Williamson’s  Chapel United Methodist Church is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Finance Assistant (Part-Time) (20-25 hours per week) to support the church's financial operations. This position is responsible for processing income and payments, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the financial needs of both the church and preschool ministries.  The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, maintains strict confidentiality, and enjoys working collaboratively in a mission-driven environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, analyze, process, and record all receipts for the church and preschool.

  • Process payments and refunds for both the church and preschool.

  • Assist with the weekly offering counting process.

  • Maintain historical records of weekly giving and attendance.

  • Prepare financial reports and provide analysis for the Financial Administrator and other ministry leaders.

  • Track payment information for sales tax refund requests and 1099 reporting and prepare related filings.

  • Record and acknowledge donor contributions through memorial and honorarium letters, as well as quarterly giving statement mailings.

  • Provide financial and administrative support to church ministries and the office team.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and working with CSV files.

  • Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience working in a nonprofit or church environment.

  • Experience with financial management platforms such as Planning Center, RAMP, or similar systems.

  • Experience preparing financial reports and conducting financial analysis.
